What is it that I need now? The thought of doing something for yourself. Rare, but important.
When was the last time you thought about what would be good for you right now?
Everybody knows what’s good for them. But the thought of it is still difficult. You have to make your own experiences to find out what is right for you. What I need, what would do me good. Whether it’s diet or exercise, work, things for yourself, relationships. Everything takes time. You can’t change everything at once. Concentrate on one thing, at some point it will take on a life of its own, then you can take on something new. If you push yourself too hard, you will overwhelm yourself and not get any of it right.
But the important thing is to listen to yourself.
Because no one else knows you as well as you do. All you have to do is listen. We just pushed it aside, and forgot how it works. How? Dealing with myself? Oh, no, I’d rather not know what’s coming out. I’d rather not. And poof, that’s it. We just keep living the way we are used to. Of course it will not always be easy and many thoughts and moments will come up that seem difficult to us, but life is learning. Life consists of experiences we have to go through. Life puts us again and again into such moments and sometimes again into the same ones and we ask ourselves why is this happening to me again. Because you didn’t learn from it. And that’s how it’s gonna happen to you again and again until you learn. So what’s good for you? Are you really listening to yourself or what voice is talking to you? Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. If I make decisions now because someone wants me to, I am influenced by opinions. If you really listen to yourself, you know the answer. If you give yourself the patience to listen to yourself. There is no right or wrong. It’s your choice.
There’s only one solution. Your answer to these questions.
What do you need right now? What do you really need? What is it inside of you? I need a new pair of jeans? No, I’m not talking about that. What is it that you really need? Is it time again for a long walk in nature? Do you need a big hug? A long conversation among friends? A massage? A workout? A plate full of vegetables? 😉
